Get to know Jordan in Ten Questions
What made you decide to get into real estate?
After studying economics and law I took some time to figure things out. It turned out real estate became the logical choice and a blend of my skill set. Turns out, when you are good at something it’s easy to enjoy it.
Where would we find you on a Friday night in Toronto?
On a Friday night you could catch me at a number of my favourite restaurants downtown, making dinner at home or even working on an offer. After many years of downtown living and the excitement of king street its most likely having friends over and entertaining.
Most embarrassing real-estate moment:
I’ve walked into some quite precarious situations when showing investment properties. Luckily, nothing dangerous, however somethings can’t be unseen.
Who stands out to you / do you most admire in the business world right now?
I’m a big fan of a lot of the New York brokerages and their modern style, technology and professionalism. It’s probably the main reason for making the move to PSR. The leadership team here recognizes the modern real estate isn’t what it once was.
What is the career philosophy / mantra / inspirational quote that gets you through tougher days?
I enjoy bringing value to my clients and to every deal I work on. Its exhilarating putting together the toughest deals, so I remind myself of the feeling I get when we are able to turn something unexpected into a win.
What is your theme song?
I’m going to have to just throw something out there, as my musical taste stretches over too many genres to have something pop into my head. I love hitting the road and driving through the US… so let’s go with Tracy Chapman – Fast Car.
Describe your dream home in three words.
This one is easy, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this over the years. Condo/loft, 10″ ceilings, chef kitchen that I build out myself, a terrace large enough for a dinner party and bbq… it would never be completed without a steam shower.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Downtown Toronto and a home somewhere warmer, Miami, Playa Del Carmen, Atlanta…. I’ll let you know in a few months.
When you’re not wheeling + dealing real estate, what can we find you doing?
I played a lot of golf in my youth and can still be found on the course from time to time. Cooking has always been fun for me and has pushed more to the forefront during 2020. Covid lockdown gives you a lot of time to try new things.
Highlight from 2019 and what you’re looking forward to this year:
2019 was a great year. I spent a lot of the year travelling for work and for fun. Can we skip 2020 and move on to 2021?
