Toronto Real Estate Board President Michael Collins announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 7,825 sales through TREB’s MLS® System in September 2019.
This has resulted in an increase of 22% in the number of sales, year over year while supply continues to be a concern with the number of new listings down by 1.9% year over year to 15,611.
This speaks to tightening market conditions and an accelerating rate of price growth. The increased activity and decrease in supply has played a role in the rising of prices as the average selling price for all home types combined was up by 5.8% to $843,115.
