Why is Branding Important?
As competition generates endless decisions, businesses and individuals seek ways to communicate with clients emotionally in order to become irreplaceable and establish lifelong relationships.
In a densely populated marketplace, a powerful brand stands out. People fall in love, trust, and believe in a brand and therefore, the company behind it. How a brand is received has a huge influence on its success.
This is especially true in real estate. Aside from word of mouth and personal connections, obtaining clients comes from your ability to market your services. You must have a brand that resonates with your target audience.
Brands Have Three Primary Functions
1) Navigation: A strong and consistent brand will help people choose you instead of the competition.
2) Reassurance: Brands communicate the product or service’s inherent quality and reassure clients that the correct choice has been made. This can be done through clever marketing of past client recommendations and reviews.
3) Recognition: Brands use unique imagery, language, and associations to encourage brand identification among clients.
Brand identity is tangible and appeals to the senses. You can see it, touch it, hold it, hear it, watch it move. Brand identity fuels recognition, amplifies differentiation, and makes clients comfortable with your services.
Types of Branding
Co-branding: A partnership with another brand.
Digital Branding: Web, social media, search engine optimization, driving commerce on the web.
Personal Branding: The way an individual builds a reputation.
An effective brand strategy offers a key, unifying concept that aligns all behaviour, actions, and communications. It builds on a vision, aligns with company strategy, emerges from the values and culture of a company, and represents a thorough knowledge of the needs and expectations of the customer.

A strong brand not only gets recognition, it also increases business value, generates new customers, and supports advertising. Think about Apple, Starbucks, Coca-Cola or Nike, how they attract billions of loyal customers around the globe and how strong and effective their brand advertisements are.
Building your own brand can attract clients, market your skills to get sales, and also market your client’s properties. These are the reasons why branding is important and you should consider a personal brand strategy as a real estate agent.
