Getting to know Peter in ten questions:

  1. 1.What made you decide to get into real estate?
I’ve always been interested in the industry, it helped that my wife Maria was in real estate, I was always hovering and trying to negotiate the deal. She eventually pushed me to stop bothering her and get my own license.
  2. Where would we find you on a Friday night in Toronto?
Usually hiding from my 3 children under the bed or in their playhouse having a scotch.
  1. Most embarrassing real-estate moment:
I have a pretty good sense of humor and often will find the humor and laugh at a situation that might be embarrassing instead of turning beet red in utter humiliation. My other “go to”, as my wife will attest, is compartmentalizing my embarrassment and forgetting it ever happened. Therefore I either; can’t remember or I remembered it as something funny not embarrassing.  Both of which keep me feeling Great!
  1. Who stands out to you / do you most admire in the business world right now?
A two way tie between Richard Branson and Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Richard Branson because he’s a billionaire who leads such an exciting fun life. I’m always interested in the projects he has on the go. The Rock because he’s hilarious and seems like a really good kind person. (Honorable mentions: Elon Musk)
  1. What is the career philosophy / mantra / inspirational quote that gets you through tougher days?
Any quote from Oh The Places You’ll Go – Dr Seuss, I read that book to my kids but it doesn’t matter how old you are, everybody should read this book!Kid, you’ll move mountains! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So get on your way! – Oh, The Places You Will Go!
  2. What is your theme song?
Your Welcome by Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) Moana Sound Track

  1. Describe your dream home in three words.
    Unique. Old. Castle.
  1. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully with kids number 4-6 although my wife Maria doesn’t quite agree. (I believe her quote was “sure, with your sister wives maybe”)
  1. When you’re not wheeling + dealing real estate, what can we find you doing?
Renovations, renovations, renovations! – It’s something I really enjoy, I’ve done dozens and dozens. I used to be a contractor so it’s something I’m good at. I also own a few rental buildings so I renovate those whenever they come available. I’m actually finishing one up now!
  1.  Highlight of 2019 so far:The amazing family vacation we took to Playamita, Mexico. I got to spend time with my kids, and go snorkeling.
We saw a pod of sperm whales, eels, puffer fish, and the very rare and ever hilarious Blue Footed Booby birds (yes its a real thing).
