Meet Amber

Sales Representative

For Amber Yu, every real estate transaction is special. She doesn’t just believe that all homes possess their own character and soul, but that you need to understand your clients to find their perfect match — a primary reason why those she’s worked with affectionately refer to her as ‘the House Whisperer’.

The business is in her blood, after all. Her father’s entire career was dedicated to the development, helping transform Beijing’s old historical core into the contemporary metropolis the world knows today. And having always appreciated design, building, and beauty, Amber eventually sensed a chance to follow his path, by embarking on a similar journey of real estate restoration and modernization.

As a savvy investor, Amber bought her first dwelling — a triplex — in Toronto’s Upper Beaches back in 2009, quickly transforming it into a positive cash flow property. Later, she renovated a century-old Victorian house in the booming West Queen West community. The project was prominently featured in Canada’s most widely read the newspaper, The Globe and Mail, and set the record for the area’s highest-earning semi-detached house upon selling in 2016.

Conversely, as an award-winning real estate agent who focuses on mainstream areas like downtown and midtown, Amber specializes in working with first-time buyers and Chinese expatriates, who hope to relocate to the very city which has afforded her so much opportunity — a city she’s proud to call home.

Whether dealing in pre-construction or resale, Amber brings the whole package to her clients: from identifying neighborhood trends and demographics to highlighting infrastructure and local amenities. She also provides deft services beyond closing, which include handling real estate portfolios, providing renovation advice, and managing rental properties.

When you work with Amber Yu, you work with a passionate salesperson who has not only found that being honest is the best technique but boasts the individual experience to recognize what you’re trying to accomplish — and what you need to be doing to accomplish it.
