Getting to know Jeremy Daniel Alexander Head in ten questions:

1. What made you decide to get into real estate?

As a kid my parents spent a number of years looking for their “dream home”, so we spent a lot of time looking at homes and visiting open houses. I loved it right away! So much so, that I used to go out and attend showings with our family’s realtor. Also, HGTV was the only channel I watched growing up; I think I’ve memorized every episode of every type of reality home/real estate show there is! Needless to say, I have a strong passion for homes, architecture, and design, and I thought the best way to experience this on a daily basis was to get into real estate professionally.

2. Where would we find you on a Friday night in Toronto?

If I’m not working I am either experiencing one of the many amazing restaurants that Toronto has to offer, grabbing a drink with some friends, possibly at the beach sitting around a bonfire, or honestly… Sleeping. (I like my sleep, haha.)

3. Most embarrassing real-estate moment:

I have to admit I am a pretty calculated individual, so there are not many situations I walk into without having done some kind of preparation beforehand. However, the very first time I was showing a property to a client I had done a walk-through before they arrived to make sure I was familiarized with everything and that the place showed at its best. I was concerned because the ad stated that it was a three bedroom home, but I noticed the third bedroom had no closet… Not something my client was going to like. They arrived and we walked through the property; they loved everything about it except, of course, the no-closet scenario happening in the third bedroom. We discussed it and must have gone into that room almost a half dozen times, trying to figure out if we could make it work for them. The last time we walked in to look the room over they decided to peek behind the door, and guess what was there… A closet! I admit I felt very foolish having not noticed this, but ultimately we both had a good laugh. Lesson learnt from this – look behind every door because there may be another door!

4. Who stands out to you / do you most admire in the business world right now?

Walt Disney; he took a childhood passion and turned it into an enterprise!

5. What is the career philosophy / mantra / inspirational quote that gets you through tougher days?

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.

6. What is your theme song?

I Am – James Arthur.

7. Describe your dream home in three words.

On the water!

8. Where do you see yourself in five years?

I’d love to say I see myself traveling abroad, experiencing the wonders this world has to offer, owning my dream home on the ocean with my family, and a successful business in my back pocket. And this has every possibility of actually happening! I just know myself and I love having something new to strive towards; I will always be looking to the horizon for the next challenge to overcome.

9. When you’re not wheeling + dealing real estate, what can we find you doing?

I am a very active individual and when I am not “wheeling and dealing”, there are many things I love to do to fill my time. Reading, writing, and fitness are just a couple things I like to dabble in on the regular. Toronto is an absolutely amazing city with so much to offer – and I love food, so any adventure that involves at least one or two pit stops to try a new restaurant – I’m in! Also, the beach always has a special place in my heart, so in the summer it is my mission to make it to any beach on a weekly basis!

10. Highlight of 2017 so far:

My 2017 highlight has to be getting my real estate license and becoming a member of the PSR team! I see so much inspiration in my fellow realtors and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
